Error message: "Failed to generate a full dungeon after 100 attempts, giving up"
This could mean a couple of thing. The best way to figure it out is to use the slow generation mode to visually see what happens. You will be able to see it go through the connectors and try to place rooms. Here you have a couple of scenarios:
Only a start room is placed. No connecting rooms
This is likely an issue with Bounding Boxes intersecting when the rooms are trying to be placed. Try temporarily enabling "Allow Room Overlap" in Advanced settings in the Dungeon Generator component. If it generates normally then you need to adjust the bounding boxes of the rooms.
Otherwise:
- Make sure all connectors are added to the Room's list if connectors.
- Make sure all connectors have a WeightedList.
- Make sure the room is in the WeightedList.
Some rooms are placed but it later gives up
- This could mean that the bounding boxes of rooms cut each other off. This is either because the bounding boxes are covering the connectors unintentionally or that the rooms that are placed tend to grow into themselves. (for example if the only room is a right turn it will end up stopping itself).
